About me

Hello, my name is Petr Hybler and I am a Head of Software development and Data Architect but foremost Oracle enthusiast with more than 12 years of experience.

My journey started even before I went to high school. I realized that my passion for computers could become more than just a hobby. I always wanted to be a security engineer because I had (actually still have) a passion for breaking codes, looking for vulnerabilities, and improving overall security. When I went to university I was highly focused on networking, programming, and other essentials which are a must for any white hat. At first, I hated databases so it was not love at first sight at all 🙂 After I graduated, I was looking for a job and out of the blue I landed this first job as a Business analyst – well, it was not related to security but it was a job and this is where I fell in love with databases – especially with Oracle. Since then, I have been hungry for learning new things and improving my skills. I opened Pandora’s box – I lost myself in self-improvement. I went through many stages of learning and there is still a lot in front of me – this process is never-ending.

I can say with confidence that I became an Oracle professional with wide experience in business intelligence, data warehousing, enterprise performance management, database, and query performance tuning. Throughout my career, I gained many other valuable skills such as employee management, learned how to lead a team, and how to transfer my knowledge. Here, I realized that I might be gifted thanks to all the positive feedback I received and that is why I registered this domain and started the Oracle World project. I would love to share with you all my knowledge in a comprehensible form and eventually make it easier for you to understand how does Oracle work. I prefer a very simple way of explanation but sometimes there is no other way but using technical terms. In case you do not understand something on my web page, feel free to leave a comment and I will fix the article or give you an extra explanation 🙂 In case of need, you can also contact me here.
